I was checking out People magazine online and there was this picture of Madonna when she landed in the African nation of Malawi on Sunday. Wow does she ever look different without makeup on. She actually kinda looks younger in this picture.












I think she kinda looks like Drew Barrymore in those Covergirl ads. Hmmm.....maybe it's just the white hat.

Angel VS Edward

I read a couple of the Twilight books and I thought they good, but I did not like the movie. There is all this hoopla about how hot and amazing Edward from the movie is, but I just don't see it. In my opinion he can not hold a candle to the hottest vampire ever, Angel!

Have you guys checked out the latest issue of People magazine? It has Valerie Bertinelli on it in a bikini. Man does she look amazing for 48! We all know that she lost a ton of weight on Jenny Craig, but even her face looks amazing. She looks a lot younger then 48! I don't think she has had any plastic surgery on it, maybe some microdermabrasion, but who knows. I just know that when I turn 48 I hope I look half as good as she does!

It's All About The Color

This Spring the fashion trend is all about color, but seriously would you call this baby poop yellow a real color? Evidently Ginnifer Goodwin, Kate Hudson and Kate Mara seem to think so, but any color that looks like it came out of the bottom end of a baby is definitely not something you are going to be seen on me. I think some people really need to check themselves out in the bathroom vanities mirrors before they head out the door. I'm just saying baby poop yellow is never a good color on anyone!

Knowing

I saw the movie Knowing, starring Nicolas Cage, over the weekend. I must admit I was a little surprised by it. I was actually thinking it was going to be like his National Treasure movies and it was a little, but it was much more than that. It was definitely a thriller, but it was also a sci-fi doomsday movie as well.

Knowing freaked me out a little, but it was a good movie. This would be a good movie to see with your guy as there is that sci-fi part to it that he will like and you get to listen to Nicolas Cage's dreamy voice.

The Perfect Man

Actually my perfect man is my husband. He's not really tall, just average height, but I think that he is handsome. He's not rich, but things like A Lange Sohne are possible. He's funny, kind, and very sweet. He could work on being romantic a little more though. What's your idea of the perfect man? Does he have to be rich, tall, dark or handsome?

Race To Witch Mountain

This is a kids movie, but there are two reasons I wanted to see it, the first is I remember watching the originals as a kid and the second is because 'The Rock' Dwayne Johnson is in it.

This remake is kinda like the original movie except that there is more action and way better special effects in it. Did I also mention that it has super hottie hunk Dwayne Johnson in it?

Race To Witch Mountain will definitely bring back some childhood memories and you also get to drool over 'The Rock'.

Video Games, The Newest Fitness Regimen

Ever wonder how celebrities manage to lose their baby weight? Alison Sweeney, star of soap opera Days Of Our Lives, recently gave birth to a beautiful baby girl on January 12 th and she credits her amazing weight loss to video games. Well, not just any video game, but Wii's EA Active fitness video game.

All this time I was thinking strict dieting and personal trainers were the way to go. I'm going to go play video games now! Instead of material handling and building a home gym I'm building a gaming room!

When these ducks got a letter says that Spring was finally here and they won a free stay at hotel they probably didn't realize it was an ice hotel. It may be Spring, but there is still a LOT of snow on the ground and the river is still frozen over. Now that Spring is almost officially here it's time to start thinking about Spring fashions. There are so many gorgeous new Spring fashions out now that it may be hard to figure out what's hot and what's not. This Spring it's all about color. Bold colorful prints are the in thing this year.

This is also a good time to start thinking about Summer fashions. This Summer it's not more skinny clothes, it's about ruffles and flowing. Color is also a big thing for Summer. Even this Summer's hottest swimwear is colorful with bold prints.

It's time to put away your dark and deary Winter clothes and brighten up your wardrobe this years hottest Spring and Summer outfits.

Lash Stiletto

Have you seen the ads for Maybelline's Lash Stiletto mascara? Your eye lashes are supposed to look extremely long when you use it. Long to the point that they look like fake eyelashes. Now sure I use mascara, but the point of mascara is to make them look longer, but still look like they are natural. I don't see the point of this product. If you want your eyelashes to look like they have fake eyelashes on them then just wear fake eyelashes. Makeup like all things can be summarized as 'too much of a good thing isn't necessarily a good thing'. Natural looking is best and there is nothing natural looking about this stuff.

I live in an area that you can not get cable television so the only option for us is to get satellite television. There is a few companies that we could have gone with, but the best one was Direct TV because of the amazing deals they have to offer. Not only do we get all the popular channels and children's channels, but it's actually less expensive then when we lived in an area that we did cable television. We have more channels now and we are paying less.

The best thing about Direct TV, is that I was able to get an channel that shows my favorite show of all time, Xena Warrior Princess. I love that show!

Let There Be Light

Among our long list of renovating plans this summer we're going to redo the bathroom. It's been forever since we renovated in there and I really want something a little more prettier and less bland in the bathroom. The lighting in the bathroom is really bad and it's hard to see to even put your makeup on so the first thing I want to replace is the bathroom light fixtures.

I've narrowed it down to the minka lavery lighting and the quoizel lighting. What do you like the best?


Okay now that we got the lighting down, what about the color? I'm thinking beige and burgundy.

Nicole Or Cleopatra

Expectant mom Nicole Ritchie looks a little like Cleopatra while promoting her new jewelery line, House Of Harlow. Although some of her pieces are quite nice, don't expect to find anything classic like pearl earrings and necklaces in her new line. Nicole seems to like more glitz then glam. She really does kinda look like Cleopatra here doesn't she? I think it's the jeweled headband that does it.

Date Night

Tonight is date night for me and hubby. We have the wine, the snacks and the movie, but most importantly we both have the night off! Sure I have a lot of work I could be doing including a 40 page article I have to write, but we both really need a night off together. So if anyone comes to my house expect the door to be locked and if by some chance they do make it inside they will quickly be shown the exit sign. Don't wait up for me!
