Date Night

It's been a long time since me and hubby had a "date night". I can't even remember when the last time we had one, so hubby and I are planning on for next week. We're going to get a nice bottle of wine, some Chinese food and rent a movie. This is of course after the kids go to bed. Now we just have to see what night he has off so we can have this date.

Women And Finances

It's time for some serious girl talk. Even though this is the year 2009 a lot of women still depend on men for part of their financial needs. Sure it's great to have a man take care of you, heck my husband is the major bread winner in our house, but I still am able to hold my own when it comes to finances. Women need to be able to take care of themselves whether they are married or not just in case something happens.

Having a clean credit is a great way for women to ensure themselves financially. With the economy being so bad having good credit isn't very easy to do, but there are things you can do to fix credit and make yourself more financially stable.

Whether it is spending less, saving more or getting credit repair today's women should take charge of their financial future.

Spring Fashions

Have you seen some of the new Spring 2009 fashions?


I'm not quite sure about them. There is some 80's/90's retro look, some hippie look, and some that just looks like they are wearing a pillow case. Besides the fact that I wouldn't wear any of those fashions I think I would have to take a case of weight loss pills to fit in any of them. How about you, would you wear any of these clothes?

Sharing The Germs

Well my daughter is still sick and I'm feeling crappy too. One of the kids I babysit older siblings are sick so I guess that's how we all got sick. Gotta love sharing the germs. I'm going to take the day off and get better. If anyone wants to come visit me you better get some travel health insurance because I got a house full of sick kids here right now.

The 14th season of The Amazing Race starts tonight. I love that show! Okay I think Phil is kinda hot, but that's not the reason I like, well not the whole reason I like it. I like a lot of reality shows, but The Amazing Race is my favorite. I like all reality shows that require physical activity. I don't think I could ever be on one though. Not that I'm in bad shape, but man have you seen some of those stunts they make you do on those shows! I don't care how much safety equipment they use there is no way I'm scaling a 500 foot cliff.

I'm going to tell you about a love story, my love story.




I have the most amazing husband ever. Okay, sometimes I complain about him, but I don't know what I would do without him. He is kind, caring and has always been there for me when I needed him. The time that stands out the most is when my father was dying of cancer. My husband loved me and my father so much that he helped to take care of him. Now there are certain things that my father preferred having a man help him with, like going to the washroom. My husband showed me just how much he loved me and my father by taking care of my fathers needs when he needed it. I was very close to my father and it devastated me when he got sick and died. If it wasn't for my husband I don't think I could have handled it. Thank you John for being a wonderful husband, a wonderful father to our children and thank you for what you did for my father. I love you!

The Uninvited

I'm a big horror movie fan and it's been a while since I've seen a new horror movie so I jumped at the chance to see The Uninvited. At first glance you would think that The Uninvited is your typical horror movie, but it's not. Yes, there are ghosts in it so I guess it is kinda scary, but this is not really a horror movie or at least you find out it isn't in the end. I don't want to tell you exactly how it ends, but man I was very surprised at the ending. The Uninvited is actually a thriller, not a horror movie even though you think it is at first. It's definitely worth the watch.
