Chirstmas Shopping, The Chaos Continues

After we took the kids to a Christmas party today we hit the malls to do a little Christmas shopping. There were some great sales going on, but the line ups were horrible! I stood in line to pay for a shirt and a hat for almost 20 minutes. I got tired of waiting and left to go to another store. I came back to the first store after a while when the line ups were shorter, but I still had to wait for 10 minutes to pay for my things. I am so glad that my shopping is almost done because I refuse to go to the mall again. I'm seriously considering finishing my Christmas shopping at a hardware store and giving everyone hammers and Moen faucets for presents.

Christmas Shopping

Christmas is less then a month away. Have you started your Christmas shopping yet? I have and I've actually have a good chunk of it done. On Sunday I plan to finish most of the rest up and then I will just have one lay-a-way to get out and my husband to buy for. Of course I will still have odds-n-ends to get right until the day before Christmas. But I'm pretty proud of myself for getting a lot of it done already. Now I just have wrapping and Christmas baking to do.

I've been seeing a lot of bloggers out there have started decorating their blogs for Christmas. I love Christmas and so I started to decorate my blog as well. The only problem is that I can't seem to find hardly any thing that would match my blog colors. I made a new Christmas header. I'm from Canada and we get a LOT of snow where I live in Canada. This is just a commercial on television, not a real police chase, but I think it's hilarious.

Skywatch Friday

A beautiful blue sky peaking out among the clouds. It looks pretty, but it's really cold out. The high temperatures for the last few days have been 0C, that's the freezing point and it's not supposed to get any warmer. It's actually supposed to get as low as the minus double digits at night. I guess that's what ya get for Canadian winters. I'm just glad there isn't any snow yet...knock on wood!

Let The Holiday Stress Begin

Do you realize that Christmas is only a little over a month away? There is so much to do and so little time to do it. I still have 90% of my shopping to do, I have to finish decorating, wreaths to make, all my Christmas baking to do and of course the BIG house cleaning right before Christmas. I really need to sit down and make a schedule so that I can get all of this things done so that I might actually be able to enjoy myself a few days before Christmas.

How do you get it all done at this time of year?

A Pink Christmas

For a prefect girlie Christmas there are a few must have things you need.

Firstly you must have a pink wreath hanging on your door.

A pink Christmas tree is an absolute must have.

If you are going to have a pink tree then you need a pink star on top of it.

Feeling Much Better

I'm finally feeling better now after that bout with the flu. Man the flu really sucks! It just kicks the living crap out of you and you are so exhausted by it. The up point of having the flu is that I actually lost some weight from being sick and not being able to eat or keep anything down for 48 hours. Geez a person doesn't need to go on a diet pill, all they need to do is get the flu. Actually I think I would rather take diet pills then have the flu again.

Tired

I am so tired! I've been running around doing errands, working, watching kids and cleaning all day. Man I'm exhausted! Thank goodness that tomorrow is Friday. I could really use a break. I have my sister's three kids for the weekend so I don't think I'm going to get much of a break though. I guess I could spend the weekend searching for travel medical insurance for that deserted island I'm going to be dreaming I'm stranded on alone so I can get a break and some rest & relaxation.

New Do For Posh

Victoria Beckham, a.k.a Posh Spice, is sporting a new do. Posh who formerly had an angled bob which created a stir in hair salon with women clamoring to have the same hair style has recently cut her hair in a short pixie style.

This style is very becoming on her, but not everyone can wear this style. This style looks great on super skinny women. I guess there is going to be a run on weight loss pills now so that women can get this hairstyle.

Christmas Decorating

The Christmas season is almost upon us. I've seen a few houses with their Christmas decorations already up. My husband has brought ours down from the attic and I've started to go through them to see what's been broken and what I need to buy for this year. Hopefully in the next week or two I will have most of my decorations up. I like to have them all up by the first of December so I can concentrate on my Christmas baking.

Sleeping In

My wonderful sweet husband let me sleep in today. He can be so thoughtful and sweet, but now it's way after lunch time, my house is a mess, I'm not dressed, I have a lot of work to do and I still have to figure out what's for supper.

Oh well, the extra sleep was definitely worth it!

This my surprise you, but I cut my own hair and not only that I cut my husbands hair, my kids hair and a lot of my relatives hair. No I'm not a hair dresser, but I have found some great tips on how to cut hair.

For the men whose hair I cut I use clipper cutting mainly. Now don't be scared, clipper cutting is not as hard as you may think. All you really need to do is use some good clipper cutting techniques to get a great hair cut.

The Next Generation Of Women Tomorrow

Tomorrow is national Bring Our Kids To Work Day here in Canada and so tomorrow we'll be having a younger opinion here at A Little Girl Talk. My 14 year old daughter will be shadowing my all day as I blog both here and on my other blog, Mom Knows Everything.

Stressed Update

I just heard from my insurance company and they said unless we find out who hit us there isn't anything they can do for us. I'm so stressed out right now I need to go scream and then cry.

So basically today I'm waiting to hear back from my insurance company on the slight chance that they might be able to cover part of the damage to my car. I have to find a new tire and rim so that the car is able to be taken up to the mechanics garage so he can check out the extent of the damage done to it. I still can't believe that someone hit me and then drove away. What kind of person does that? Sorry I haven't visited this weekend, but I've been really stressed. I'll try to visit today.

Anyone know a good keylogger program because with my luck I'm going to need one.

Hit And Run

This is the same post as on my other blog, Mom Knows Everything, but once you read it you will understand why I am too stressed to write a different one.

I've had the worst day ever! Someone hit my car in the middle of the night last night as it was parked along side the road in front of my house and took off.






I called the police and they came out to look at it. They said since we don't know who it was there isn't anything they can do for us and they asked me about my insurance. Since I only have the basic insurance on my car it won't cover the damage. That's just great! I have to come up with money now to either fix the car or buy a new one and we can't afford to right now and with Christmas coming up I have no idea what I'm going to do. I feel like crying.
