Year Book Me

I got this off of Jennifer's blog and I thought it was so neat that I wanted to give it a try myself.

Year Book Yourself is an application where you upload a picture of yourself and it shows what your yearbook photo would look like for different years.

Does This Make My Butt Look Fat?

I really think that this whole "baby got back" thing is going way too far. Now I understand that some women, definitely not me, don't have much "junk in their trunk", but I really can't believe that this is the solution. The Double-O Push Up Thong is supposed to provide maximum push-up effect to your booty, flatten your tummy and shape your thighs. At the cost of $64 for one, and the risk of embarrassment that someone finds out you actually own one of these, I think it better make your booty look like J-Lo's.

Teenagers Are Weird

My 14 year old daughter is going through this weird phase where she wants her hair to be streaked with a funky color like the one in this picture. She doesn't even care really which color it is as long as it not a natural color. She has medium blond hair so any funky color is going to look funky on her. I'm thinking about letting her get one colored streak in it, but...... I don't know. I know, I know, she's just being a teenager and I should be grateful she doesn't want to color her whole head purple or something like that. What do you think, should I let her do one funky colored streak?

Fall Fashions

The latest Fall fashions are out and they are hitting the stores. The hottest trends this year is anything black. The skirts this Fall are long and flowing and should be worn with boots. If you are looking for the hottest new purse this season it's large and studded. Printed dresses are also hot this Fall. Velvet and romantic also seems to be making a big splash this Fall. For teenagers what's hot is the 60's.


Although fashion trends change from season to season this Fall you can't go wrong with the basic fall colors though. When in doubt go for blacks, browns and dark greens.

Christina Applegate Fighting Breast Cancer

Christina Applegate, most well know for her role as Kelly on the hit TV show Married With Children, has been diagnosed and is being treated for breast cancer. Her breast cancer is reportedly in the early stages and a full recovery is expected. Christina has had experience with cancer in the past as her mother has suffered both breast and cervical cancer. All the best to Christina and her family.

The Fairy Tale We Should Have Been Read

Once upon a time in a land far away a beautiful, independent, self-assured princess cam upon a frog as she sat contemplating ecological issues on the shores of an unpolluted pond in a field near her castle.

The frog hopped into the lap of the princess and said, "Elegant lady I was once a handsome prince until an evil witch cast a spell on me. Do I Really Look Old?

I totally think I got insulted. Let me set the story for you. I was at my in-laws and my sister-in-laws husband stopped by with a friend of his. Now I always call my mother-in-law and father-in-law "Mom" and "Dad". Both of my parents are deceased so my in-laws are the only parents I have. After I called my father-in-law "Dad" my sister-in-laws husband's friend looked at me and said, "You must be Joan and Ray's oldest daughter." Now that threw me for a loop and I just said no I was their son's wife. It wasn't until later that I realized that he thought I was older than my sister-in-law. NOPE! Now, she's not that much older then me, but I really didn't think I looked older then her and to have someone assume I was is kinda an insult. Really, I think all men should never speak because although I'm sure he wasn't trying to insult me, but just make conversation, he did kinda insult me.

This is me and my sister-in-law (I'm the taller one). Do you think I look older then her? I personally don't even think we look alike enough to be mistaken for sister let alone have someone assume I am her older sister.

P.S. If you are reading this Julie I love ya and you don't look old, I just don't like people thinking I'm old. LOL!
